A productive 3 day weekend

Having one extra day off can make all the difference in the world. I loved my three day weekend for MLK day, got to spend time with both of my boys one on one and just overall had a great time!  I also made a good dent in my 2017 goals - so win!

Friday M and I went on a date night - nothing special, just out to dinner and then went to Target, lol.  Love to do some shopping with helping hands.

Saturday we went to the LAX Children's Museum and got a membership for the year - I think it's going to be lots of fun watching little E explore.  He loved it so much and it was fun to have so much for him to get into and everything was at a good size for him :)

Sunday I made good one one of my goals and finished a project I wanted to do last year, but never got around to it.  I made E a snowman shirt, using my Silhouette and fabric paint.  Minus the orange paint exploding and possibly ruining my sweatshirt, shirt, AND tank top (how it went through 3 layers of clothing is beyond me!) I'm really pleased with the results.

Monday, since it was icy and I wasn't leaving the house, we tried a new dish, baked ravioli.  I'm out of the blogging habit, so no pictures.  It was good, something different, and something I think we will make again, with a few tweaks to the recipe (less sauce, smaller pan, and more cheese!)

    How Often to Clean Carpet
We like to think vacuuming weekly is enough to keep our carpets clean, but unfortunately it isn’t. Dirt and grime can easily become embedded deep in the fibers, making it near impossible to reach with a vacuum. We’ll share the basic steps and how to clean carpet the right way as below. Of course, you can do all of this easily at home with just some helps.

  3. You know How To Clean Your Mattress
    https://lura.sg/how-to-clean/how-to-clean-your-mattress/
When was the last time you cleaned your mattress? Or more importantly, have you ever cleaned your mattress? Sure, you might wash your sheets every week – but that’s not enough to keep your bed clean and hygienic.

Your mattress absorbs all your dead skin flakes, sweat and oil every night. It’s also home to dust mites, bacteria and fungi, which can be very harmful to your health.

Experts tell us we should deep-clean our mattresses once or twice every year. This will keep it in top condition and ensure it lasts the expected lifespan. Not only does deep-cleaning remove odors from the mattress and protect your health, but it can also help you sleep more soundly. Cleaning reduces the allergens so you can breathe cleaner air to sleep and feel better.

Deep-cleaning might sound like a daunting task, but it doesn’t need to be. We’ll show you the best way to clean a mattress so you can start sleeping better today.

  4. How to Clean a Microfiber Couch
Whether you’re buying a new couch or looking at upholstery to restore a chair you have at home, you’ll find plenty of microfiber options. This fabric has gained popularity due to its similarity to the touch and feel of suede, its rich choice of colors and durability, and its reasonable price compared to other fabrics. The problem is, cleaning the sofa is not easy with this type of fabric. Try these tips from Ocean Clean – the best cleaning services in Singapore.
In fact, suede and microfiber are two different worlds. Suede is a natural fabric created from the skins of animals. Microfiber is a man-made fabric created from extremely thin polyester and nylon fibers that are woven and cut for a soft, plush feel. Tightly woven or knitted threads are more resistant to dust, dirt and stains from penetrating the surface. In fact, this tight weave causes the liquid to granulate on the surface, making microfiber cleaning easier than cleaning other fabrics.

Still, stains can sink in over time and cleaning can be a challenge because microfiber is prone to watermarks.
